Are you a highly organized warehouse logistics professional with a strong process management mindset? We’re looking for an operations-focused Warehouse Coordinator on behalf of our client, a global Logistics and Supply Chain company opening a new warehouse in Amsterdam.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Shift Operations Management
- Oversee daily picking and packing workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Lead inbound receiving processes for goods arriving at the facility
- Monitor and optimize inventory movements throughout the warehouse
- Assign tasks to warehouse floor workers and ensure smooth shift operations
- Regularly visit the warehouse floor to check processes and ensure work is proceeding correctly
Inventory Control & Issue Resolution
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances, overages, shortages, and damages
- Maintain data integrity within warehouse management systems
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inventory transactions and movements
Stakeholder Coordination & Client Communication
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse floor team, customer service, and the client
- Address and resolve inventory-related issues and customer concerns
- Coordinate problem-solving across departments when issues arise
- Escalate critical issues to the Warehouse Supervisor when necessary
- Work with the customer service team to resolve client queries and claims
Compliance & Operations Support
- Ensure team compliance with company policies and safety procedures
- Basic awareness of EHS practices (no certifications required)
- Adapt to evolving processes during the warehouse launch phase
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in inventory control within warehouse or distribution operations
- Experience working with any WMS (Warehouse Management System) systems
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks and oversee warehouse floor operations in fast-paced environments
- Strong understanding of inventory processes, including inbound/outbound operations, variance investigation, and issue resolution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems
- Fluency in English (business proficiency mandatory). Fluency in any other language is a plus
- Ability to assign and prioritize tasks for warehouse floor staff without formal people management
- Experience with high-volume logistics operations
- Background in retail or fashion logistics
- Familiarity with customer service liaison responsibilities
