Are you ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-growing company that is making an impact in a dynamic animal health industry? On behalf of our client, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior International Buyer to play a key role in shaping our global purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior International Buyer, you will lead and execute purchasing strategies in high-growth markets while mentoring a team of buyers. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in procurement, supplier negotiations, and international trade, looking to step into a leadership position.

Purchasing Strategy & Execution (80%)

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration.
  • Analyze market trends, forecast demand, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with leadership to report on purchasing performance and industry insights.

Team Leadership & Development (20%)

  • Lead a growing team of buyers, currently consisting of one team member, with plans to expand.
  • Coach and mentor team members on negotiation tactics, supplier management, and strategic purchasing.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations to support professional growth.
  • Foster a results-oriented and collaborative team culture.
  • As the team grows, the focus on people management is expected to increase.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Buyer: Minimum five years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • International Expertise: Comfortable working with global suppliers and navigating cross-cultural business environments.
  • Results-Driven: A strong track record of achieving purchasing goals in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
  • Leadership Experience: At least two years of experience managing a team or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Strong Negotiator and Communicator: Skilled in relationship-building and contract negotiation.
  • Multilingual: Fluency in English is required; an additional European language is highly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable to evolving business needs.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Gross annual salary of €65,000 (excluding holiday pay) + up to 25% commison
  • Performance-Based Bonus: Earn up to 25 percent of your gross salary based on results.
