Our client is an internationally successful company within Fashion & Apparel, designing and owning well-known and great quality footwear brands. They are looking for a Market Analysis/Product Manager to shape the product development strategy, based on global market dynamics. This role combines structured analysis with real-world market intelligence gathered directly from the field—including client visits, retail audits, and international travel. It can be based either in NL, France or Germany, it is a 100% field based (80% traveling in EU and US) and reports to the Head of Product Development based in Germany.
Responsibilities:

Identify and interpret global trends in footwear, retail, and consumer behaviour through both structured analysis and first-hand market exposure

Regularly meet with clients, distributors, and retail partners to gather in-market feedback

Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to highlight commercial opportunities, market gaps, and potential threats

Present clear, actionable findings to cross-functional stakeholders, supporting product development, sales planning, and strategic decision-making

Travel internationally (up to 70–80% of the time) to visit clients, conduct store visits, attend trade shows, and gather intelligence across key territories

Push findings forward confidently, even when challenging internal assumptions or existing plans
Requirements:

5+ years’ experience in market analysis, consumer insights, strategy, or business intelligence

High proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other data analysis/reporting tools.

Strong interpersonal skills — must be confident conducting face-to-face client conversations and extracting meaningful insights

Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information into clear commercial recommendations

Footwear or fashion experience is desirable but not essential — candidates from other consumer-focused industries are encouraged to apply

Willing and able to travel extensively on a global scale (up to 80%)
